Thanks to its high-calorie formula, the product counteracts underweight and a poor general condition, which are usually the result of insufficient food intake and altered metabolism.
Cats suffering from CKD have a strongly altered sense of taste (urine taste/uraemia), which is why an appetising food is of great importance. Fresh water should always be made freely available. It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before use or before extending the feeding period.
The product is most acceptable at room temperature. In case of insufficient food intake, it is therefore recommended to warm the product accordingly before administration and to administer it pure. This can be achieved by warming a plate under warm water beforehand and then applying the product to it.
In the case of critical food refusal, it has also proven to be a good idea to allow the product to be licked off the finger successively or to give it into the mouth by syringe (without cannula!) until the animal has got used to the product and has started to eat on its own again.
Store at 4-7°C after opening and consume within 10 days
