Information

The RECOACTIV® Renaltan Tonicum is a tasty supplemental feed with phosphate binder for cats with kidney dysfunction. The contained phosphate binder calcium carbonate binds excess phosphate already in the stomach to indigestible complexes, which are excreted directly. The kidney load is significantly reduced without jeopardizing the protein supply.

Feeding recommendation

An average cat (about 4.5 kg) receives 10 ml per day. The RECOACTIV® Renaltan Tonicum is administered with the diet to ensure a ratio-maintaining intake. The product should be well mixed with the feed.

If the animal is fed several times a day, the amount of tonic to be administered must be divided accordingly. The dosage is 10 ml per day (equivalent to about 1 tablespoon).

If necessary, the product can be given permanently. Blood levels should be checked at regular intervals by the veterinarian.
